Top 5 Unmissable Sunsets from around the world!

Attractions

Whether the sun’s last rays are dancing on a rippling ocean or glowing golden from behind a dramatic cityscape, one thing can be said for certain – sunsets are gorgeous. But with so many breath-taking places to visit it can be challenging to choose the best. Fortunately, Al Naboodah Travel have done the hard work for you. Here are five of our favourite sunsets that we think are truly unmissable:

Maasai Mara, Kenya

Immerse yourself in this haven of savannah wilderness as you watch the sun set against the painted African sky. As the light slowly fades and stars start to materialise you’ll be treated to the sound of Kenya’s nocturnal wildlife waking up.

Our favourite time to experience the wonders of the Maasai Mara is from June to October during the dry season.

Arugam Bay, Sri Lanka

Famous for its surf, this remote coastal village will give you the chance to take in the sunset across the Indian Ocean in a rural and serene location.

Check out our special offers and find the perfect sunset getaway! The best time to visit the east coast is between April and September when the weather is at its finest.

Jakarta, Indonesia

Energetic and captivating, prepare to be blown away by a city offering plenty of vantage points from which to welcome the evening – a fitting stage on which to watch the sun slip below this unique urban horizon.

Sunny and tropical for most of the year, while the wet season runs from October to April, in early March you can immerse yourself in Indonesia’s vibrant jazz scene as the largest Jazz Festival in the Southern Hemisphere comes to town.

Rome, Italy

Steeped in history, art and fine cuisine, Rome is a bustling, cosmopolitan city with so much to explore. Spend your daylight hours discovering the remains of the Roman Empire before its many monuments and museums are bathed in a golden glow at sundown.

Magnificent at any time of year, we love Rome from October to April when tourist crowds start to thin out and you can enjoy this fascinating city at your own pace.

Seychelles, East Africa

An idyllic archipelago in the Indian Ocean, with 115 islands you won't be short of beaches, coral reefs and nature reserves to explore. At sunset the scene is washed in a vibrant palette of picture-perfect colour. The Seychelles is a great all year rounder – the ultimate escape.
